  • Nematodes actively hunt for insect larvae, entering through natural body openings. Once inside the larvae, the nematode excretes bacteria from its digestive tract before it starts to feed and multiply. Within a few days the pest will change color and die. The nematodes multiply and develop within the dying insect, before leaving the old host to hunt for more pests. As the number of pests decrease, so will the nematode population. For this reason seasonal releases are recommended.
  • Storage Storage temperature 36-45˚F. DO NOT FREEZE Store unactivated nematodes for up to 30 days. Once activated nematodes must be released within 6 hours. Store nematodes in the dark.
  • Environmental Conditions Nematodes are susceptible to ultraviolet light (UV). Nematodes are susceptible to various chemical pesticides. Use caution when treating other diseases and pests. For optimal results, the ground surface should be moist.
  • Can ONLY ship to the 48 states, plus Alaska.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best stuff for Fungus Gnats. Dunks, Bits, and Gnatrol don't work. WOW!!! This box was delivered on a freezing day. The delivery guy stuck it in my door (the one I never use). They never do that... So of course I couldn't find it. 2 days later I finally found out where it was. After that I put it in my fridge. 2 more days later I went to water all my plants with this. I put up yellow stickys in every plant pot and waited. 2 weeks later I stopped seeing those little annoying breeders. Since then I have not seen one again. The yellow stickys didn't stop them, I just put them there to catch adult gnats flying around.
Stop wasting your time with other products. I'm telling you, this is the cure.
If you bring soil indoors, make sure you order some of this to prevent fungus gnats from beginning.
Since using this successfully I have purchased new soil from the store. Supposedly quality soil (Fox Farm Ocean Forest) well I have fungus gnats again, so I have ordered more of these nematodes to stop the new infestation. I guess if I buy new soil from now on I will have to buy this to prevent these annoying turds.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wish I had used this months ago I had been trying to eradicate fungus gnats in my apartment for months. They'd killed a number of plants. Mosquito bits didn't seem to do anything and the sticky paper only got a portion of them. A week and a half ago, I mixed up a batch of these nematodes and applied them to all of my plants.

By five days later, the fungus gnats seem to have completely disappeared. I went from seeing 1-3/day to seeing no gnats at all for the past week. I couldn't be happier with my little nematode helpers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stop reading reviews and just buy them I’m a new house plant lover and I have about 40-50 in my bedroom at any given time. I got a few from a hardware store all at once and noticed one had gnats crawling on the soil and within a month ALL 40+ plants had so many of the little devils in them I couldn’t water my plants without them flying all over the place trying to get in my ears and eyes and mouth. I tried peroxide water mixtures and it helped with half but more came back. I tried sticky strips but they came back again. I tried apple cider vinegar traps and the gnats basically laughed as me. And then I bought these and it took a week to notice a change but it’s been 3 weeks and I haven’t seen a single one since.
I was skeptical at first because it just looked like a little packet of powder so I mixed half in my watering can and sprinkled the rest in the soil and lightly mixed it in with a fork before watering. I put a few raid apple container traps to catch the adults and watered a little each day to make sure the nematodes didn’t dry out and it worked like a charm. I have recommended this to everyone I know with houseplants. 10/10 will definitely buy again if I ever have another issue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perseverance is the only way Nematodes Sf always works IF you are persistent and treat repeatedly. At first, I watched the gnats disappear, got lazy, and only checked on them once in a while after seeing them flying around again. Then, I used the potato trick a few days after each Nematode watering. I cut little slices of raw potato. Put them in the center of the pot for 3-4 hours. The larvae were moving around on the bottom of the potato slice. More water/Nematodes! I tried another potato slice again after the pot was mostly dried out. More Nematodes and water! ETC.
Don't sit on it. Repeat over and over until they are gone. KNOW that they are gone with potato slices. The larvae move quickly. If it doesn't move, it's not alive. They reflect light as they move. Don’t wait for whether or not a flying gnat appears again. Get them all when they’re little bitty babies!
