Brass Armillary On Horn Stand

With earth at the center, an armillary globe was believed to show how the stars move around the Earth. The four brackets are held by a wooden stand which carries several bronze hoops to align the sundial and zodiac signs and show those of that time about the path of the planets. Armillary made out of brass while the stand is made out of buffalo horn. Armillary interior spins. 5.5" x 5.5" x 12"
